Kelly Turner is a retired dental hygiene educator from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, where she taught clinical practice, radiography, pathophysiology, and more. She now shares her expertise as a dynamic presenter and serves as the Professional Practice Advisor for the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA). During her six years as coordinator of the dental hygiene program at Fanshawe, Kelly played a pivotal role in the design and launch of a state-of-the-art 22-chair dental clinic, which opened in 2022. Her career spans a wide range of roles—from dental assistant and office facilitator to dental hygienist and educator—giving her a deep understanding of both clinical care and the administrative challenges of dental practice, including navigating insurance systems. Kelly holds a BA in Kinesiology from Western University (1991), a diploma in Dental Hygiene from Fanshawe College (1995), and a Professional Master of Education from Queen’s University (2021). A lifelong learner, she contributed to the National Board Exam as a writer and reviewer for over a decade and continues to deliver engaging presentations on diverse topics within oral health and education. When she’s not advocating for dental hygiene, you’ll likely find Kelly on her paddleboard or enjoying a competitive game of pickleball.
